How You Can Keep Your White Sofa Clean

Are you irritated with a dirty and filth sofa? Or are your white sofa is not as white as before? A white sofa should be white as it is. It should never be any color than white. However, we cannot prevent dust and other dirt from stains or dust. So, in able to maintain the whiteness, here are some tips on how to make your sofa clean and unsoiled.

The first thing you need to do is to use remove all the cushions or pillows on your sofa. Then use the vacuum cleaner to remove dust and other dirt from your sofa. Vacuum carefully all the edges and flat surface of your sofa. Vacuuming will prevent staining your sofa during cleaning.

If coffee, wine or soda is accidentally spilled out on your sofa, remove it by wiping it with dry cloth. Never let the stain stay for a period of time or it will be hard to get rid of it and may stay permanently. However, use a damp cloth when removing other powdery stains.

If there is still left behind, use a mixture of baking soda with water until it becomes sticky. Apply the sticky baking soda onto the stained area and leave it for a few minutes. Then, dab it out. Fresh red wine stains are usually removed by using salt. For grease or any kind of oil, use cornstarch to removes traces of stains.

Foam cleaners are produced by mixing ? cup of powder detergent and water at least ? cup. Make sure that you use white powder detergent since your sofa is white. Whip them to form a foamy stuff until it is already sticky. However, if your foam cleaner is too gluey, pour water on it. On the other hand, if your foam is too watery, then put in a little more powder.

Using a clean cloth with foam cleaner, start cleaning your entire sofa. Start cleaning the sofa on one side first of at least an area of 1 to 2 feet. Then rinse it with a damp clean cloth to remove the foam. This will not only remove the stains but will also deodorize your white sofa.

Let the sofa stay for about 48 hours to dry. Avoid spilling or contacting any dirt while the sofa is in the drying process or you might start all over again. Once your sofa is dry, vacuum again the sofa to remove any remains of the foam cleaner. Remember, never vacuum your sofa when it is still wet or you might accidentally dirt your sofa.

To maintain the gorgeousness of your sofa, never use strong cleaning liquid or powder as foam cleaners. These substances may harm the color and the fabric of your sofa. Use only smooth rags in cleaning your sofa to prevent scratches. Also, never use a hard scrubbing technique in cleaning your sofa because they may produce permanent scratch marks.

Cleaning your white sofa might be a hard job, but the result will definitely make you smile. It is always nice to see a clean sofa to produce its elegance and stylishness.
